So I never thought I'd be one of those people who diet. I mean, I've done some form of dieting in the past as a health choice. Now, it's no longer a choice. I have to watch what I eat. I now constantly trying to lost this little belly I have goin' on. I'm flight the Battle of the Bulge (and not the good kind).
Right now, I am trying to eat right rather than really diet. I usually start the day off with egg whites, turkey bacon, and cheese on a toasted whole wheat bagel. Good, right? Typically, I'll have a salad with chicken for a late lunch. If I eat dinner, I try to keep it very small (I even bought Lean Cuisines). But it seems like the less I eat, the more I am bulge-prone. Maybe it's because my metabolism is out of whack because I don't eat enough. I mean, I am at that age where you don't have that killer super-metabolism of your high school/early-20s years. So I guess you have to stimulate the lifeless thing. *sigh*
Of course, I know that I am just avoiding the bigger issue of working out. I don't do it. I don't have the time or the money to do it. In the rare moments of free time I have, I can think of a million other things that I want to do, which is usually go out and hang with friends.... Well, I guess if I didn't go out so much, I suppose I would have the time AND money to work out. Oh the things I have to decide! Why is always one or the other? Can't I eat whatever I want, do whatever I want, and drink whatever I want and still have a killer body? Such an unfair world!
So anyways... last night was fun. Bradley invited me to this new lounge that opened on the very southwest corner of Hell's Kitchen. It was pretty much empty, but Robert came downtown with me and Pedro and Ali showed up later. I hope it catches on because I like the space.
Oh! So, I'm thinking about cutting all my hair off. It's just long and out of control and it's time for a clean summer look. The original plan was to do a Justin Timberlake sort of buzz cut. I mass-text the gang and got a general consensus. The naysayers won out by a few votes. The more crazy of us were all for it, but it was usually accompanied with the comment "if it doesn't look good, it'll grow." No thanks. So now I just want to cut it nice and short. Maybe faux-hawk-esque, or maybe even something more edgy like a REAL mohawk. But we'll see. Thoughts anyone?
Well, my lunch break is almost over. I simply must be getting back to my desk. Later!
